Chu san(初三), the third day of the Chinese Lunar January!
We are told by the aged that we’d better not go out for a Spring Festival visit today , Chu san(初三), the third day of the Chinese Lunar January, as it is believed to be the day that is likely for people to have a tiff with someone, so in some places of China, people choose to stay at home on this day sacrificing the gods for blessings.
Well, nowadays most Chinese, especially the youngsters no longer treat it as a taboo day, they freely go out and communicate with each other, and it seems that some unhappy things don’t really happen.

Today is Chu yi, the Spring Festival, and the first day of the Year of the Rooster 2017!
Today is Chu yi(初一), the Spring Festival, and the first day of the Year of the Rooster 2017!
Two taboo behaviors to which you must pay attention today:
Firstly, you mustn’t sweep the floor and if you have to you need to sweep from outside to inside lest you sweep away your luck and fortune.Secondly, don’t get water from a well in case you infuriate the Well God and bring yourself misfortune. Although it is hard to see a well in urban China and also most rural areas have long been used to tap water, still a well is the main water source of some rural mountainous areas in China, so they worship the Well God for water and blessings.
